This public space in a busy downtown district was designed using plantings with a long period of bloom that were tolerant of extreme conditions. The designer was also sensitive to the low site lines required at a major intersection. A mix of low shrubs, ornamental grasses, and other perennials and annuals were used to catch the eye of those passing by.
