This designer incorporated principles of Asian design including the use of such elements as wood, fire, earth, metal and water. The design creates a modified Yin and Yang symbol using the turf areas and the curving walkway. Plants were carefully selected so they would perform well in the yard's varying light conditions and create year round interest.
