ADVA Launches TeraFlex ™ CoreChannel ™ for Industry’s Longest 800G Range
Munich, Germany – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – ADVA (FSE: ADV) today launched its FSP 3000 TeraFlex ™ CoreChannel ™, giving Internet Content Providers (PKIs) and Communication Service Providers (CSPs) the power to transmit 800 Gbps over distances greater than ever before. Using 140 God subcarrier technology, the new CoreChannel™ sleigh offers the the longest range on the market for a single-channel 800 Gbit / s solution, allowing ultra-high capacity transport over an existing and new network infrastructure of more than 1,600 km. This allows a range improvement of over 50% over 95 GB technologies. In addition to the longer range, the sled offers the greatest client port flexibility. TeraFlex™ CoreChannel™ can support 400GbE, 100GbE, and 10GbE or a mix of client speeds. The solution is currently being tested by the main operators and operators of R&E networks.
“Network operators across the globe operate our FSP 3000 TeraFlex™ to unlock the full potential of their fiber assets. Our compact plug-and-play terminal offers a simple and cost-effective way to maximize the capacity of the optical infrastructure. Today we are making it even more powerful with the introduction of our CoreChannel™ sled. Customers can now transport data at 400 Gbps and 800 Gbps over longer distances than ever before with a solution that delivers the lowest cost per bit per kilometer possible, ”said Christoph Glingener, CTO, ADVA. “Our FSP 3000 TeraFlex™ CoreChannel™ technology offers a huge boost to operators transmitting services across countries and continents. In addition, long-haul transport with TeraFlex™ CoreChannel™ is even more efficient and reliable thanks to its higher signal-to-noise (SNR) requirements and superior network performance.
The launch of ADVA’s CoreChannel™ the sled positions the FSP 3000 TeraFlex™ as the industry’s most efficient high-capacity platform for all applications, from metro submarine links to ultra-long haul submarine links. Compatible with the deployed infrastructure, the new solution can transmit 800 Gbit / s over more than 1,600 km. In addition, TeraFlex™ CoreChannel™ Meets advanced SNR requirements, making it resistant to transmission faults. With the bandwidth flexibility and fractional QAM capabilities of TeraFlex™ terminal, this guarantees transport at 800 Gbit / s with maximum efficiency, optimum performance and lowest cost. Equipped with multi-rate customer support, the CoreChannel™ sled can carry any combination of 400GbE, 100GbE and 10GbE services, providing customers with flexibility and protecting their investment when migrating to higher speeds.
“The launch of our FSP 3000 TeraFlex™ CoreChannel™ is a game-changer for long-haul and regional ground transportation. It gives ICPs and CSPs the opportunity to inject new capacity into their deployed networks. Now they can achieve line speeds of up to 800 Gbps over distances 50% longer than those achievable with 95 Gbps solutions. This advantage will be essential to cope with ever-increasing data growth without adding significant cost and complexity, ”commented Cornelius Fürst, Director, Product Line Management, ADVA. “With its unmatched reach, multi-rate customer flexibility and rich performance parameters, TeraFlex™ CoreChannel™ redefines the economics of backbone networks. It will play a key role in accelerating the delivery of high-bandwidth and feature-rich services over an ultra-long haul global infrastructure. And because it can be flexibly configured for lower data rates, it supports a smooth transition to high-speed connectivity.
